Account Executive - Wellington

Fast-track your comms career working with top brands

Acumen is looking for an ambitious communications professional to join our Wellington team.

Acumen is an independent, employee-owned corporate and marketing communications agency. We work with some of New Zealand’s best-known organisations and brands, helping to evolve, promote and protect their reputations through conversations that matter.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, proactive, organised and keen to grow. You’re a motivated graduate or early-career professional in communications, PR, media, or politics. You might have interned at an agency, contributed to student media, worked in a comms role, or built strong writing and social media skills elsewhere.

You’ll work across a mix of clients and projects, supporting campaign delivery, content development, media relations, stakeholder communications and day-to-day client service. As your experience grows, so will your responsibility.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has strong communication and writing skills
  • brings energy, initiative and a can-do attitude
  • is highly organised and detail-focused
  • enjoys building relationships with clients, colleagues and media
  • has a curious mindset and openness to innovation including AI
